FAQ/Policies

Pet Food Guidelines

To ensure every pet receives proper care and stays on schedule, we require all pet food to be pre-portioned into single-serving ziplock bags before arrival.

Food Preparation Instructions:

  • Pre-portion each meal into a separate ziplock bag.

  • Label the bags only if breakfast and dinner portions differ.

  • Place all portioned bags into a tote or grocery bag clearly labeled with your pet’s name.

  • Canned food does not need to be pre-portioned—you may bring the cans as they are.

  • For food that requires refrigeration or freezing, we have appropriate storage available on-site.

Important Notes:

  • Large containers or bulk bags of food cannot be accepted due to storage limitations and efficiency needs.

  • If food is not pre-packaged as requested, a $5 per day fee will be applied.

  • Any dog needing a late breakfast outside of our standard AM feeding time will incur a $5 fee per meal.

  • If an additional lunch meal is needed outside of our standard AM and PM feeding schedule, there is a $5 per meal charge.

Thank you for helping us maintain a smooth and organized experience for all our furry guests!

Cancellation Policy

We strive to be as flexible as possible, but our cancellation policy varies depending on the time of year.

Non-Holiday Cancellations:

  • While we do not require a specific notice period, we kindly ask for reasonable notice if you need to cancel or change your reservation.

  • Cancellations can be processed through your customer portal, phone call, text, or email.

  • Providing advance notice helps us accommodate other clients and manage our schedule efficiently.

Holiday Cancellations:

  • A minimum 7-day cancellation notice is required to avoid fees.

  • Cancellations or date reductions with less than 7 days' notice of the reservation start date will incur a $100 change fee (unless the reduction is only by 1 night, in which case we will charge equivalent of 1 night of boarding).

  • This policy ensures fairness during high-demand holiday seasons.

  • Holiday periods are subject to The Gold Leash Holiday Schedule.
